Mulching
Mulch is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep a garden healthy. It locks in moisture, suppresses weeds, moderates soil temperature and feeds the soil as it breaks down. As working arborists, we produce quality wood-chip mulch from the trees we prune and remove, and we supply and spread it across Sydney's North Shore and Northern Beaches.
A good layer of mulch does a lot of work. It dramatically reduces how often you need to water by slowing evaporation, which matters through Sydney's hot, dry summers. It blocks light to weed seeds so far fewer come up. It keeps roots cooler and more stable, and as organic mulch decomposes it adds nutrients and improves your soil structure. For trees and garden beds alike, it's one of the best low-effort improvements you can make.
Why mulch your garden?
This Bayview property took 20 cubic metres of mulch — all spread in a single day by a team of three with a mini loader. Efficient, thorough, and a transformed garden by knock-off.
Arborist wood-chip mulch
Because we're out doing tree work, we generate fresh arborist wood chip — a natural, chunky mulch that breaks down slowly and is ideal around trees, shrubs and garden beds. Rather than send it to landfill, we put it to good use in local gardens. We can supply mulch, deliver it, and spread it to the right depth so it works as it should without smothering your plants.
Done properly
Mulch applied incorrectly — piled against trunks or laid too thick or too thin — can do more harm than good. We apply it at the correct depth and keep it clear of stems and trunks, so your garden gets all the benefit without the problems.
